When you create an account and choose to verify your phone number, you consent to receive a one-time verification code by SMS, e.g.: "Busy Halal: Your verification code is 123456. This code expires in 10 minutes." Members may also choose to share a meeting notice with a personal safety contact by SMS — sent only at the member's explicit request.
Consent is collected in-app when you enter your phone number and request a code — we never send marketing or promotional SMS, and we never text anyone who hasn't requested it. Message frequency varies with your account activity (typically 1–2 messages per verification). Message and data rates may apply.
